    Despite the Omicron spike, education officials have decided not to close schools


    ISLAMABAD: In mild of the escalating instances of Covid-19, the Inter-Provincial Schooling Ministers Convention (IPEMC) resolved on Monday to not shut colleges.

    Shafqat Mahmood, the Federal Minister of Schooling, presided over the assembly through video hyperlink. The assembly took inventory of the present state of Covid-19.

    In a press release, Punjab Schooling Minister Murad Raas stated lessons for kids underneath the age of 12 years can be allowed with 50 % attendance.

    He stated that colleges can’t be closed to stop youngsters from additional studying losses. He added the federal government can’t decide on the closure of colleges till different sectors are shut down.

    On Jan 15, the Sindh authorities’s activity pressure on Covid-19 determined to maintain all academic establishments within the province open. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah presided over a gathering of the Sindh Activity Drive that introduced a set of restrictions to manage the fifth wave of the pandemic.
